About usWorship Band Advice is operated by Mike Sandeman who was the keyboard player for popular Christian band Phatfish since their formation in 1994 until their disbanding in 2014.
As well as being actively involved in the worship team at his home church of Emmanuel in Brighton, Mike (often with Phatfish) has worked alongside worship leaders including Stuart Townend, Matt Redman, Graham Kendrick, Godfrey Birthill, Tim Hughes, Lou Fellingham and many others. He has over twenty years experience of playing in local churches as well as at major conferences such as Spring Harvest, Soul Survivor, Stoneleigh Bible Week, Keswick Convention, Newday and dozens more - not to mention numerous appearances on BBC Songs Of Praise! |
Mike is an excellent musician with great production, arrangement and band skills as well as being a pro keyboard player. He often presents seminars for church worship musicians and is regularly invited to come and give advice and help to local church worship teams. He spent four years as a music theory tutor at the Worship Academy run by Kings Church, Horsham and gives lots of one-on-one keyboard and piano lessons. These days much of his time is spent running a commercial recording studio in Brighton called North Brighton Recording. Underpinning all this is Mike's passion for worshipping God with his whole life and encouraging others in that pursuit. He longs to see the church filled with vibrant, truth-fuelled worship and understands the vital role that music and creativity play in releasing people to encounter God. Mike would be delighted to come and spend some time with you and your music team, and serve you in any way he can. |
